I gave up on a social life this past summer to focus on my career and which way my life is heading. It's really frightening, but I don't mind it. There just has to be a point in time where you know you need to grow up and move on. Things that you used to think were important aren't really so important anymore. Making decisions is a part of being an adult, and it's so easy to be distracted from these decisions. I don't understand those who constantly reward themselves with leisurely bullshit. I want to ask them, what are you partying so hard for? What exactly are you celebrating? Is that your whole life? Are you practicing to become a professional party-er?
The question to that is summed up the best by the quote below by one of my favorite rap artists.
"Some of ya'll aren't where you want to be in life yet you party every weekend. What is it that you're celebrating?"
