I literally haven't done any form of exercise since swim season ended. Wait no actually that's a lie...I ran 3 times a week on our university's track field after my 11 am lectures. But honestly speaking that was nothing. I haven't lifted weights in God knows how long.
Since I got back from college, Eric and I have been working out together since yesterday. We were at the gym for a whole 2 hours. I woke up this morning feeling as though a U-Haul truck steamrolled my body 5 different times. It hurts terribly but I guess the only way to rebuild the muscles that I tore yesterday is to keep on keeping on. I did about 20 minutes on the elliptical, 45 minutes on the treadmill, then went to the free weights while Eric did arms and chest. I feel so fucking terrible! As a warmdown I biked for 15 minutes on the highest level. My legs were jello by the end of the gym session.
Weight is something I had to deal with my whole life, despite the fact that I was such an active person. I don't know...I just accumulate fat very quickly. I guess I just eat too much, way over the amount I burn calories.
Either way, I'm glad I'm going to start working out again. Now that I am done swimming forever, I have to do something to avoid type 2 diabetes. Right? Right.
Hm, maybe I'll get in to swim today.
