Super easy chicken noodle soup
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp of butter
- 1/2 cup of chopped onion
- 1/2 cup of chopped celery
- 4 cans of chicken broth
- 1 can of vegetable broth
- 1/2 lb of cooked chicken breast fillets
- 1 1/2 cup of egg noodles
- 1 cup of sliced carrots
- 1/2 tsp of dried basil
- 1/2 tsp of oregano
- some salt and pepper
Directions:
- In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Cook the onion and celery in the butter just tender for 5 minutes
- Pour in the cooked chicken breast and vegetable broths/chicken broths
- Stir in the noodles, carrots, basil, oregano, salt and pepper
- Bring the broth to a boil, reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes just before serving.
Makes 6 servings. Cook time: 35 minutes, which is why it's so freaking easy.
