I'm pretty excited. It's 3 blocks away from school, right by the T station, in between BC and BU, but the kicker is that I have to share a bathroom and living space with 2 other girls, who happen to be Korean and BC graduate students. For some reason, the owner of the place is looking for a third Korean girl, so she's been telling me to electronically sign a lease with them without having to go out there physically. Regardless, I'll be going out there in July so I'm definitely going to look at the place and meet my future potential roommates. I originally wanted to live with another BU student so that we could hangout and attend some school functions together but maybe this will be good. Or maybe I'll hate it. Either way, it's just for a year. If I can't stand them or the place I can move out after May and I can just find a sublet for the summer (it's a one year lease until August 31, 2015) and just live elsewhere for the fall semester. The pay is about $865/month so it isn't too bad...considering I had to share a room for $750 at Santa Cruz. At least I'll have my own room, and that's the most important.
I'm crossing my fingers that this will be a good fit for me. I hope there are other students who live in the building as well, because I feel like the other two roommates are probably really boring stuffy Asian nerd students who don't do anything fun. If that's the case, hell, I'm going to have to find friends. I really hope I can find people my age who are willing to explore the city and do things with me. That's what I really want...someone to go on adventures with. If not, well, I can always have adventures by myself.
Crossing my fingers!
