My experimental college culinary amateur creation to just survive is usually through the "guess-and-check" method meaning guess how much food I have lying around the fridge and check the expiration dates and if they're going to go bad within a few days, throw them all together in a frying pan or a pot with chicken stock.

It's amazing how much of my own "cooking" I survived on this year. I knew nothing but living on my own and observing my housemates really is a great teacher.

Pictured: brown rice, grilled chicken soaked in chicken stock, vegetable broth, then seasoned with pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, oregano, basil leaves, minced onion, garlic salt, and oil, boiled carrots, broccoli, and snow peas all tossed with sesame teriyaki sauce and 2 tbsp of soy sauce.

It turned out to be really, really tasty. I'd definitely do this again.
