RIP to one of my current professors, Fred Lieberman.

We received notice today from the Music Department at my university, informing Music 80V the unfortunate news of our professor passing away yesterday, May 4, due to sudden cardiac arrest. Funeral and memorial services pending. The outcome of the remainder of the quarter is pending. All lectures, midterms, review sessions, and classes are canceled until further notice. We won't know what's going to happen until the UC Regents and Board plus the Chancellor can figure out what will happen for the remainder of the year, since we have no professors who can teach this class and the TA's are not certified to teach the course either.

I can't believe it...we just saw him on Thursday. I've never ever, ever, ever, had a professor pass away while I had them as a teacher in a course. My heart and prayers go out to Professor Lieberman and his family. Thank you for sharing so much of the Beatles history with us. Thank you.
